Kaa Erusheri/Green Plantain in Coconut gravy
This has been one of my favorite curries of all time. I especially love to have it with a little bit of ghee and rice.

- Green platain/ Ponthan Kaa- 3 nos
- Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
- Shallots- 5 nos
- Red chilly dried- 1 no
- Green Chillies- 3 nos
- Turmeric Powder- a 1/4 tsp
- Salt-to taste
- Mustard seeds- few
- Curry leaves- few
- Cooking oil- 3 tbsp.
- Chop plantain into small cubes and cook until soft and mash the plantain after draining excess water
- Grind coconut, shallots , turmeric, green chilly, tuemric, salt with little water into a paste.
- Add the coconut chilly paste into the mashed plantain and cook in low flame for a minute.
- Into a small wok crackle mustard seeds, red chilly a tsp of grated coconut and curyr leaves and pour on top of the curry and serve hot with rice.
