Kaa Erusheri/Green Plantain in Coconut gravy

This has been one of my favorite curries of all time. I especially love to have it with a little bit of ghee and rice.



Ingredients:
  1. Green platain/ Ponthan Kaa- 3 nos
  2. Grated coconut- 1/2 cup
  3. Shallots- 5 nos
  4. Red chilly dried- 1 no
  5. Green Chillies- 3 nos
  6. Turmeric Powder- a 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt-to taste
  8. Mustard seeds- few
  9. Curry leaves- few
  10. Cooking oil- 3 tbsp.
Method:
  1. Chop plantain into small cubes and cook until soft and mash the plantain after draining excess water
  2. Grind coconut, shallots , turmeric, green chilly, tuemric, salt with little water into a paste.
  3. Add the coconut chilly paste into the mashed plantain and cook in low flame for a minute.
  4. Into a small wok crackle mustard seeds, red chilly a tsp of grated coconut and curyr leaves and pour on top of the curry and serve hot with rice.
