Bhindi ki Sabji


Ingredients:
  1. Okra/ladies finger- 250gm
  2. Onion- 1 large
  3. Tomato- 1 small
  4. Cumins eeds - a pinch or two
  5. Mustrd seeds- few
  6. Oil- 3 tbp
  7. Garlic- 2 or 3 cloves
  8. Green chilly- 3 no
  9. Kashmiri chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
  10. Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
  11. Corainder powder- 2 tsp
  12. Garam masla- 1/4 tsp
  13. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
  14. Salt- to taste
  15. Water- a cup and half
Method:
  1. Slice onions, tomatos, cloves and green chilly and the okra about an inch long
  2. Into a wok or sauce pan crack mustard seends cumin along with green chilly cloves, and onions.
  3. Saute for a few minutes and add salt when the onion turns pink
  4. Then add tomatos, followed by all the spices and add okra.
  5. Pour one cup of water and cook until the okra changes its color and the gravy thickens
  6. Mash the okra and serve hot with chapthis or white rice.
