Bhindi ki Sabji
Ingredients:
- Okra/ladies finger- 250gm
- Onion- 1 large
- Tomato- 1 small
- Cumins eeds - a pinch or two
- Mustrd seeds- few
- Oil- 3 tbp
- Garlic- 2 or 3 cloves
- Green chilly- 3 no
- Kashmiri chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilly powder- 1/2 tsp
- Corainder powder- 2 tsp
- Garam masla- 1/4 tsp
- Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp
- Salt- to taste
- Water- a cup and half
- Slice onions, tomatos, cloves and green chilly and the okra about an inch long
- Into a wok or sauce pan crack mustard seends cumin along with green chilly cloves, and onions.
- Saute for a few minutes and add salt when the onion turns pink
- Then add tomatos, followed by all the spices and add okra.
- Pour one cup of water and cook until the okra changes its color and the gravy thickens
- Mash the okra and serve hot with chapthis or white rice.
