Dates & Nuts cake
Ingredients:-
1) Dates pitted and chopped- 1 cup
2) Almonds/Cashew/Walnuts chopped- 1/2 cup
3) Water- 1 cup
4) Butter- 1/2 cup
5) Egg- 1 no
6) Vanilla Essence- 1 tsp
7) Wheat flour/plain flour- 2 cups
8) Sugar- 1/2 cup (u can add more if u like but note dates are sweet in itself)
9) Baking soda- 1 tsp
Method:-
1) Boil 1 cup water along with rhe butter and the chopped dates and allow to cool down.
2) In a mixing bowl add one egg vanilla essence sugar along with the dates mixture and whisk well.
3) Seive the flour and baking soda and add 1/3rd of the flour to the dates mix n whisk and folliwed by the next 1/3 rd and the rest.
4) Finally add the chopped nuts and pour the batter to a buttered loaf cake tin and bake it in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for 50-60 minutes until its cooked completely.
