Dark Chocolate Cake
Ingredients:
- Flour- 100gms
- Baking Soda-1/4 tsp.
- Baking Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Cocoa Powder- 75gms
- Sugar Powdered-100gms
- Soft Unsalted Butter-100gms
- Egg-2 eggs whole
- Dark Chocolate bar- 100gm
- Vanilla Essence- 2 tsps.
- In a bowl cream the butter with sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Now add the eggs and vanilla essence followed by the dry ingredients; that would be flour, baking soda, baking powder, cocoa powder. (Sift all dry ingredients 2 or 3 times; so as to get a light cake)
- Add the flour mixture in 2 or 3 times little by little.
- Beat each time you add an ingredient
- Double boil the dark chocolate bars and add it to the cake batter and beat again.
- Grease a cake tin with melted butter and pour the cake batter into the tin.
- In a over preheated at 180 degree bake the cake for 30-35 mints.
- Take out from the oven and let the cake cool down.
- Decorate as you please with powdered sugar or strawberry.
- If you want to dust the cake with powdered sugar please make sure that the cake has cooled down completely; otherwise the powdered sugar will just melt in the heat.
- With the given measures you can make a 500gm cake
- The most important thing is to use the highest quality dark chocolate and cocoa powder to ensure you get a yummy chocolate cake.
