Beef Cutlet




Ingredients

  1. Beef-1/2 Kg
  2. Shallots- 1 Cup
  3. Garlic- 3 to 4 large cloves
  4. Ginger- 1 large cube
  5. Green Chilly- 4 to 5 nos
  6. Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt-to Taste
  8. Boiled potatos- 1 medium
  9. Fresh Corainder- a handful
  10. Egg - 2 nos
  11. Oil- for frying
  12. Bread Crumbs- 1/2 cup
Method:
  1. Pressure cook the beef with some salt after cleaning until 5 whistles one on high flame and 4 on low flame.
  2. Mean while chop shallots, green chillies and grind giger and garlic together.
  3. Saute' the shallots,ginger garlic and green chillies until soft.
  4. Mince the cooked beef in a grinder and mash the potatos.
  5. Mix the minced beef and mashed potatos with the shallot mix.
  6. Mix in one or 2 egg yolks into the mixture and switch off flame
  7. Once the mixture cools down add the corainder leaves, pepper and salt if require.
  8. Make small pattice in round or cylinderical shape as you wish.
  9. Dunk the pattice first in egg white beaten followed by in the bread crumbs
  10. Repeat the same for all pattice and fry the pattice in oil until golden brown.
  11. Serve hot with ketchup or with rice.
PS: I recommend you keep the pattice in fridge first for one hour or so before you fry. This will prevent the cutlet from breaking down while frying. You can make upto 20 small pattice from this mixture.
