Bead fruit stir fry with Coconut/ Kadachakka Thoran


Ingredients:
  1. Raw bread fruit – 1/2 of one bread fruit
  2. Coconut Shredded – 5 tbp
  3. Green chilies – 3
  4. Turmeric powder – ½ tspn
  5. Garam masala powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  7. Garlic – 3 large pellets
  8. Shallots ( small onions) – 100gms
  9. Coconut oil – 2 tbp
  10. Mustard seeds – few
  11. Red chilly – 3
  12. Curry leaves – few
  13. Salt –to taste

Method 
  1. Peel the skin of bread fruit and cut into small pieces.
  2. Grind coconut and green chillies aong with the spices
  3. Heat oil in a vessel and crackle mustard seeds
  4. Add red chilly and curry leaves, followed by the shallots
  5. Then add the pieces of bread fruit salt and water and stir well.
  6. Add the smashed ingredients at the center of the vessel and close the vessel with a lid.
  7. When the bread fruit pieces are cooked, open the vessel, stir well ( Cook on low heat)
  8. Serve hot ( 3 to 4 servings)
