Banana Toffee
This is a sweet that has Chinese influence. They are really sweet and juicy. Must Try this. everyone will love this.

- Banana (Preferably NjaliPoovan)- 4nos
- Maida/Flour- 1/4 cup
- Corn Flour- 1/8 cup
- Water- Enough for making Batter & Sugar Syrup
- Salt- Taste
- Oil- for frying
- Sugar- 2 tbsp.
- Ice- some
- Sesame Seeds- for Garnish
Method:
- Cut the banana diagonally in 5 or 6 pcs.
- Dust the banana pcs with Maida.
- Make a batter with Maida and Corn Flour in 2:1 ratio with enough water that you get a slightly thick batter. Do not make it watery.
- Add a few drops of oil to the batter. This will help the batter to stick to the banana once you dip them into it and also this way the banana when frying wont soak up too much oil.
- Now dip the banana pcs one by one in the batter and then straight to the work for frying.
- Make a Sugar syrup with Water and Sugar. Make it rather thin.
- Now dip the fried bananas in the sugar syrup.
- In a bowl mix ice with some water and dip the bananas into this ice bath straight out of the sugar syrup.
- Garnish this with some sesame seeds.
- And if any more syrup is left; you can pour over the bananas and serve after a meal or during coffee time.
